  • Yesterday and today I have searched online and in stores to see if I could find a dress for the wedding. And after coming home with only a black bolero sweater to wear in case I couldn't find a dress with sleeves on it and a bunch of other non-wedding party attire, I am giving up. I hope I can con Grandma into sewing me a dress. If not I'll get Cheryl to do it. How hard can it be to pin a front and a back to me and then sew?? Besides, I should really learn how to sew; I always have this dilemma of a vision of the perfect outfit and then no one has anything like it. It's really quite annoying that of all the dresses out there (unless I want to special order from a fancy catalog, spend  $$$$, and wait 10+ weeks to get it) I can't find anything. And what's with all the mini dresses?? It's about to be winter and no one wants to sell long dresses? I'm excited to pick out the right color though. I will probably just go with a burgundy, unless we decide to get fancy with a pink sash too.

Sewing is almost a dead art. Yet it has been encouraged in the recent past by prophets as a skill every woman should have. Remember to pray before looking. Besides, you have the gift. I am sure in the end that you will find what you need, and you will find it cheaper than anyone else could. It's one of your gifts. :) Love you!

Next time we'll just get a curtain and cut a hole in the bottom... haha.
