Will was a little worried for the car it seemed since the fireworks were close to it, but enjoyed them after he saw we were happy about them. Towards the end he would clap. I'm not sure what Hannah thought about it, but it did hold her attention. I'm officially done working for 3 months. woohoo. I'm happy, but now it really puts the time frame in perspective. I'm pretty sure this baby is transverse like Will was, so I think she will be here within this next week either on her own or with some help. Now I'm getting scared.
Thursday, December 31, 2009

Will watches sprout tv (pbs) in the mornings, and they show the same few episodes of his favorite shows every week. He knows them so well, he has started quoting the lines in some places at the same time the characters say them. I'm just amazed!
Tuesday, December 29, 2009

Well, Will just said "Mannah" so I showed him some pictures of her and he was so excited. One had Dad and Hannah in the picture and even though it's been a while and he hasn't seen you, Dad, he still knows you are "Gipa" haha.
We finally watched UP and liked it once we got over the whole floating house thing.
I can't believe I'm going to have another baby any day now. I feel like I have so much time, but I don't now. I've at least got Will's and the baby's bag packed. We are going to Salt Lake to eat at some buffalo wing place with Dave's cousin and wife. Some people say spicy food has started their labor and though I'm hoping that's the case today, I know the baby will come on the Lord's watch not mine. I hope I can balance my time with Will and the new baby. I'm sure it's going to be a tough first few weeks for all of us though. Cheryl and family are coming down over New years. So at least Will will have his best friend here for a few days.

Monday, December 28, 2009

I just read that caffeine takes calcium out of your body. I guess caffeine and my calcium deficiency problems don't mix. Ah well, Dave has introduced me to caffeine free Dr. Pepper. No caffeine headaches, no caffeine during pregnancy, and no eating away the little calcium that I do get. If I don't take an extra calcium pill with my prenatal vitamin every day, I start to get a charlie horse...every day. It's fantastic.
I got a picture light for $16 that looks nice and has 2 light settings. It clipped right on to the Thomas Kinkade painting mom and dad got me a few years ago and runs off of batteries. I'm so pleased with my find.

Saturday, December 26, 2009

Last night I left the Christmas lights on and went in the bedroom. I went to the bathroom 30 minutes later to find them off. You just can't do that the night before Christmas; so I told Dave (he just rolled his eyes) and I turned them back on. haha. We woke up this morning a little after 8AM and Will went straight to the Christmas tree since the lights were on. I loved this Christmas because Will was finally old enough to open and get excited about his presents. His stocking basically had a new toothbrush and toothpaste which he loved, some new pacifiers, few pieces of candy, and some animal foam things you put in water and they grow. He loved his toothbrush the most. I loved watching him open his presents. He started opening his Ernie doll and as soon as he saw the hair he exclaimed "Ernie?...Ernie!!!" It was the cutest thing ever. We also got him a pack of cars and a helicopter, a car rug, and a cars book/magnadoodle thing. I'm glad we didn't get him anything else because he just doesn't need that much. He got a toy giraffe from his cousins, a thomas the train set from Dave's parents, and I believe mom and dad are getting him train stuff too; so I am pretty sure he will be fine for the next few years. There's only so many things that keep his interest, lol. He was so happy though, and I loved seeing him get so excited. In a few days we will go to the store and let him pick out something "from Grandma A" since she sent us some money to use partly for him. Dave and I spent hardly anything on eachother and I have to say this was probably the best Christmas I've ever had because there isn't anything I want more than to see my child happy. And he was happy. haha We stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's and gave them some pie and set Grandma up with a FB which I doubt she will use, but she has one now. Thanks everyone for your gifts and thinking of us. We love you all and miss you. Merry Christmas!http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=44683&id=1126704499&l=c200294fba
Thursday, December 24, 2009

After my run to the store real fast and ship out the pistachios and stuffing a letter in the box, I forgot to mention a Happy Birthday to Kevin. Maybe I'll still have time to send a birthday card. I keep getting emails from places that are "open late" tonight and it just makes me kinda upset. Christmas is already commercialized enough. Do we have to create more sales and expect people to work when they could be with family!!?? It makes me not even want to shop at these places because they are clearly more concerned about a profit than the season. BabiesRus is closing at 6 tonight. I think if you have to be open, that's a reasonable time to close. I have put in my paper work and my maternity leave will start on Jan 3rd. That's pretty much, one more week of work. I have however gotten Will's and the baby's hospital bags packed, except for newborn diapers which I still need, but I'm slowly getting almost there. When Will wakes up from his nap we are going over to the out-laws, I mean in-laws, to have our traditional Christmas Eve dinner and etc. Every year either Christmas Eve, or before people leave for wherever we have a fondue dinner. Yummy! And wheat thins and clam dip. A Mitchell tradition that I love! Tomorrow will be busy, but I will make sure we have time to stop by Grandma and Grandpa's since they will be alone and not doing anything for Christmas. Grandma seems happy to not have to make a big meal, but I wish they didn't have to be alone. It's just been hard for them to go anywhere since they don't drive far with their vision problems. I hope everyone has a great Christmas Eve and day. We miss you all so much.
Wednesday, December 23, 2009

Our electricity went out at 10:30 this morning and we were told it was due to a bad accident and 4500 people were without power, but it should be up by 2pm. So, we had to go out to eat for lunch. At 2, the power was still not up so we called and the time changed to 4pm that we would have power, and then it got pushed back to 7pm. Need I mention that everyone around us had power since lunch time. It seemed like it was always that way growing up; the power would always work on the other side of the street, not ours. So we went over to Grandma and Grandpas and they fed us dinner and let us hang out over there for a bit. Then at 7 we went home. The power was still out. Dave was pretty mad at this point, but we went and got ice cream and looked at some more Christmas lights. Our bishop called us and told us he was aware of our situation and we could go to a ward members home where other families were keeping warm at, but by that time we were just hoping that the 8:30 promise of power would be true this time so we didn't bother. It was a snowy, dark, cold day; the perfect day to lose power. But the power did come back on at 8:30, and now we are looking at generators. haha I feel lucky to have electricity in the first place, but it was just one of those inconveniences where I wish we could have been more prepared.
Thursday, December 17, 2009

My back is killing me and I can't sleep.
